A look back at TEAM’s 29th Annual Event

Time flies when you’re having fun! That might sound cliché, but it’s true when we’re talking about TEAM Client Conference 2018. More than 325 clients, guests and employee owners gathered in Omaha, Nebraska, for TEAM Client Conference 2018, and it was fantastic. And, so were the famous DoubleTree Hotel chocolate chip cookies.

The event’s theme, “Taking It Up a Notch,” rang true throughout the entire conference. During his opening remarks, John Leiferman, TEAM President and CEO, kicked things off by introducing TEAM’s updated mission, vision and values which focus on keeping customers first, being accountable and doing more (aka “taking it up a notch”). In the general session that followed, Jill Davie, TEAM’s Senior Vice President of Client Experience, reiterated TEAM’s commitment to modernizing our expertise while continuing to invest in our current products. And, then the keynote speaker, former Navy Seal Bobby Howell, spoke to attendees about how to take their leadership up a notch through individual responsibility, planning and preparation.

This year we saw individuals from more than 90 different companies from all over North America come together for three days of learning and networking. It was a chance for our clients to build connections with us as well as each other. Attendees had a chance to learn from TEAM employee owners through interactive training sessions and each other through new client-led sessions that gave attendees a real-world look at how to apply TEAM solutions in their business.

The attendees weren’t the only ones to walk away with valuable information — we learned quite a bit, too:

  • Interactions in the classes and workshops help guide our content for future sessions and evaluate our current training and support functions.
  • Discussions in the Product Innovation Lab provide direction for future enhancements and possible additions to our product roadmap.
  • Feedback on the event such as the food, schedule and conference facility helps us continuously improve our future events.

But, it wasn’t just about learning new things — we also let the good times roll. The Opening Reception at The Omaha Press Club featured live music from local singer Michael Lyons, beautiful views of downtown Omaha and a retro candy bar with everything from Cherry Mash to Necco Wafers. The Wednesday evening event was spent exploring the galleries at the Joslyn Art Museum, as well enjoying dinner and treats from an old-fashioned soda fountain.

We want to thank all our clients who took the time to attend this year’s event. We truly love the time we get to spend with you and can’t wait until next year. Keep an eye out for updates on TEAM Client Conference 2019 – it’s our 30th anniversary, and you won’t want to miss it!
