Beginning to End: An Intern Developer Spotlight

Learn more about TEAM’s newest intern and our former intern-turned new employee.

Developing future developers. That’s the goal of TEAM’s developer intern program. Internships are a great way for employers to tap into new talent, especially in an industry that shifts and evolves as fast as the technology industry. From the intern perspective, it’s a great way to gain valuable work experience. And because TEAM takes a hands-on project approach to our intern program, we sometimes get the benefit of having interns join our team as full-time employees — complete with first-hand, real-world experience.

Here’s a little bit about two individuals who have a perspective on the program from beginning to end — the new to the block summer intern and the recent intern/graduate welcomed as a new employee. Take a minute and learn a little bit about Mitchell and William.

What about the internship made you want to start a full-time position with TEAM?

TEAM valued me as an intern and treated me like a full-time employee. Some internships work on side projects which are ultimately thrown away. At TEAM, I was working on the live code and actually making changes to the product.

The one thing I know for certain is I want to be helping everyday people with technology-based solutions. Improving the lives of those around me and those less privileged is something I want to do for the rest of my life.
