We changed the game in North America 1989 with an all-in-one financial, operations and workforce management solution. We did it again in 2001, offering software as a service before “the cloud” was common. As we extend our reach to Australia, Europe and beyond with our next-generation workforce management solution, we’re pushing our legacy forward with a relentless pursuit to define what’s next.

Our Legacy

In the early 1980s, an Omaha, Nebraska, cleaning and security company was hunting for integrated business management software to help organise operations, streamline accounting processes and provide profitability insight. A solution like that didn’t exist, so the company put together a small team to build one. A few years later, they had a prototype, a unique solution with financial, operations and workforce management data in one system of record that could deliver site-level profitability information. It quickly proved to be a difference-maker in the U.S. and Canada, and in 1989, TEAM Software was incorporated. For more than 30 years, TEAM has continued to provide industry-shaping technology for security and cleaning contractors in North America.

After being employee-owned for more than 10 years, in 2018, TEAM received a strategic investment from Accel-KKR, a technology-focused private equity firm. Since then, TEAM has expanded its footprint globally and domestically, acquiring Australia-based Lighthouse, U.K.-based Innovise, and Kwantek out of Louisville, Kentucky, U.S.A. These acquisitions make TEAM Software the largest provider of software for security, cleaning and facilities management organisations on the planet.
